Lemminkäinen wins contracts in the Baltics LEMM

LEMMINKÄINEN WINS CONTRACTS IN THE BALTICS Lemminkäinen has signed three contracts in the Baltics, two in Estonia and one in Lithuania. The total value of the contracts is over EUR 15 million. In Estonia, Lemminkäinen will take on the expansion of the Muuga container terminal near Tallinn. The customer is Transiidikeskuse AS. Work is already underway and scheduled for completion by the end of July 2014. Valued at approximately EUR 5.4 million, the contract primarily comprises paving work and the installation of waste and water pipes, cables and lighting. Lemminkäinen will also carry out renovation work on two kilometres of a four-lane motorway near Tallinn, between Kurna and Luige. The customer is the Estonian Road Administration and the value of the contract is approximately EUR 4.2 million. The work will begin in October 2013 and be completed at the end of October 2014. In addition to paving, Lemminkäinen will build a noise barrier and install pipelines and cables. In Lithuania, Lemminkäinen will renovate a road between Smiltyne and Nida in the western part of the country. The contract comprises rebuilding the foundation of and paving a 9-kilometre stretch of road that is 7 metres wide. The customer is the Lithuanian Road Administration and the value of the contract is approximately EUR 5.8 million euros. Work is already underway and scheduled for completion in December 2014.
