ACTON, Mass., Oct. 7, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- At Cable-Tec Expo (Atlanta, Oct. 21-24, booth 1542) SeaChange International (Nasdaq: SEAC ) will demonstrate software that empowers video service providers to launch competitive multi-screen offerings, including blended entertainment services incorporating over-the-top (OTT) content and fully monetized subscriber experiences. Several new multi-screen service advantages will be featured, including the U.S. debut of the cloud-hosted SeaChange Cloud Adrenalin pay-as-you-grow service, headless and headed gateways enabled by SeaChange Nucleus, and comprehensive SeaChange Infusion advertising capabilities.

In Cable-Tec Expo demonstrations, the feature-rich SeaChange Nitro™ subscriber experience software will provide the subscriber touch point for services, including nPVR, enabled by the SeaChange  Adrenalin™  multi-screen video platform. Providing a vital layer of service monetization, Adrenalin's promotional capabilities will show how providers can seamlessly create targeted content packages and market them across devices to increase average revenue per subscriber. The full complement of deployment-proven SeaChange capabilities for delivery, analytics, promotions and monitoring are available in the new SeaChange Cloud Adrenalin with the advantages of an OPEX-based, software-as-a-service (SaaS) foundation. Adrenalin streaming to IP-connected devices including tablets, smartphones and Roku players will be shown.

The SeaChange Nucleus™ gateway software, integrated with Adrenalin and multiple customer premises equipment makes and models, will show how subscribers can enjoy an environment of whole-home media sharing, DVR and other enticing applications across connected devices at home. Leveraging the industry Reference Design Kit (RDK), demonstrations of Nucleus integrations will include the recently launched NETGEAR® HMG7000 headless media gateway.

The SeaChange Infusion™ advanced advertising platform weaves in high value ads to bring relevance and interaction to the subscriber-advertiser relationship, increase revenues and help to reduce the cost of television content. Demonstrations spanning advertising ingest, placement, analytics and playout capabilities will show how Infusion targets ads across multi-screen television environments (linear, on-demand, Internet) with placements including pre-rolls, mid-rolls, banners, overlays and click-action ads.

Addressing the multi-screen monetization opportunity, SeaChange Vice President - Products Venkat Krishnan will deliver a presentation for the Cable-Tec Expo conference panel "Leveraging Better Compression, Higher Resolution, and Targeted Advertising to Speed the Transition to IP Video via Connected Devices" on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. and Thursday, Oct. 24, at 4 p.m.
