They don't care. They're obligated to be there by contract or $agreement$ with the distibutor of the film they're in.
They're not worried about these little news junkets "futhering" their career. That's why they have managers, agents and auditions to go to.
I noticed that Steve interviewed Sandra B about the movie Gravity.
I'm sure she wasn't pacing back and forth before the interview muttering "Oh my God, Oh my God.... I hope Samblis likes me. This interview could make or break my career...." lol
