AppliedMicro Adds Duston Williams to Its Board of

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 3, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (Nasdaq: AMCC ), also known as AppliedMicro, announced today that Duston Williams, age 55, was elected to its Board of Directors at its 2013 Annual Stockholders Meeting. Mr. Williams has also been appointed to serve as Chairman of AppliedMicro's Audit Committee.

Mr. Williams has more than 28 years of experience serving in CFO and other senior management finance and accounting positions with semiconductor and other technology companies. He has served as CFO of Gigamon, Inc. since 2012. He also served as CFO of SandForce, Inc. through its sale to LSI Corporation in January 2012. Before Sandforce, Mr. Williams served as CFO of Infinera Corporation, Maxtor Corporation, Aruba Wireless Networks, Rhapsody Networks Inc., and Netigy Corporation. Mr. Williams also served in a variety of accounting and finance positions, including senior vice president and CFO, at Western Digital Corporation.
