LISLE, Ill., Oct. 2, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Midwest Real Estate Data (MRED) , Chicagoland's multiple listing service (MLS), announced today that several of its representatives will be attending the 2013 Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS) Conference taking place this week in Boise, Idaho.
CMLS is the premier forum and resource for MLS organizations. CMLS' goal is to provide facilitation of practical information and cutting edge management ideas to empower members (and their constituents) to meet the challenges of changing technology, legal issues, and organizational structures. The annual conference is the largest attended conference of the year designed specifically for MLS professionals and their volunteer leadership. It is a great opportunity for MLS leadership and staff to hear from noted national speakers and gain significant insight from interactive panels and information sharing among peers.
MRED CEO Russ Bergeron is slated to be a panelist for the session "Social Media & Your MLS: What Works & Why". Bergeron will draw upon his and MRED's substantial experience with social networking and marketing communications to provide insight on best practices and the success MRED is experiencing in various aspects of social marketing.
Bergeron will be joined in Boise by long time MRED board member Tom Guttilla, broker/owner of Coldwell Banker Today's Realtors® in Peru, Illinois. The members of the MRED board are active participants in everything MLS, and are frequent attendees to all MLS related events, CMLS2013 being no exception. Two of MRED's staff directors will also be attending – Lynn Strantz, Director of Product Management, and Jeff Lasky, Director of Marketing and Communications.
