Risk parameters for Nordic, German and UK and Dutch Electricity Contracts, UK Natural Gas Contracts, Allowances Contracts and Swedish-Norwegian Electricity Certificates Contracts will be updated based on a monthly review.
The updated parameters will have impact on the calculation of the daily margin requirement for which collateral must be posted by 10:30 CET on Friday, October 04, 2013
Margin curves, correlation matrices and inter-commodity credit factors are updated for all markets. Margin curves for Nordic Base Load Electricity Contracts are decreased in the front end of the curve due to observance of lower volatility. The change will result in lower margins for naked positions in close to delivery contracts. Overall, the changes will not impact margin requirements significantly.
