Ontario International Airport Announces New Partnership with STARLUX Airlines

Ontario International Airport (ONT) is thrilled to announce that it will welcome STARLUX Airlines as its latest airline partner starting in June. This partnership will introduce an exciting new route connecting the Inland Empire with East and Southeast Asia, providing travelers with additional options for their journeys.

Nonstop Service to Taipei

STARLUX Airlines plans to launch nonstop flights from Ontario to Taipei, Taiwan (TPE) beginning on June 2, 2025. This new service will operate four times a week on specific days—Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday—allowing ample flexibility for travelers looking to explore Taiwan and beyond.

Flight Schedule and Experience

Departure from ONT will be at 11:10 p.m. local time, with arrival at TPE occurring at 4:15 a.m. two days later. For return flights, departures from Taipei are scheduled for 8:05 p.m. local time, landing back in Ontario at 5:05 p.m. on the same day, ensuring a smooth and efficient travel experience.

STARLUX Airlines will utilize their modern Airbus A350-900 aircraft for this route, which features a total of 306 seats across several classes: four first class, 26 business class, 36 premium economy, and 240 economy seats. This configuration aims to provide a comfortable travel experience tailored to all types of passengers.

Strategic Growth and Community Impact

Alan D. Wapner, president of the Ontario International Airport Authority (OIAA), expressed gratitude towards STARLUX Airlines for their confidence in the airport and the surrounding community. He noted that Ontario is a gateway to Southern California, a thriving destination served by one of the fastest-growing airports in the country. The addition of STARLUX Airlines signifies the airport’s ongoing efforts to enhance its international reach and serve the travel needs of its community.

Increasing Demand for International Travel

This announcement follows a significant milestone for Ontario International Airport, where the number of international travelers reached a new high in the previous year. The airport experienced a 5.1% growth in international passenger numbers, totaling 438,896, reflecting the increasing demand for air travel to and from this dynamic region.
