Nexteer Automotive Enhances Driveline Validation in India
Enhances Local Engineering, Validation & Customer Responsiveness
Nexteer Automotive, a recognized leader in motion control technologies, has unveiled plans to expand its India Technical Center (INTC) with advanced driveline physical validation capabilities.
This new facility, spanning 1,900 square meters, is situated a short distance from the existing INTC in Bengaluru. It significantly boosts the company's capacity to assist local original equipment manufacturer (OEM) clients with both production and design validation testing.
The opening of this facility not only enhances Nexteer’s engineering services in India but also positions the company to provide rapid, localized support, reinforcing the region's pivotal role within Nexteer's global development initiatives in product design and validation.
Recently, a celebratory event marked the grand opening, attended by Nexteer's leadership, regional teams, and key customers. This expansion reflects the increasing strategic importance of India in Nexteer's international operations, underscoring the company's dedication to market growth and continuous innovation in the area.
Robin Milavec, President and Chief Technology Officer at Nexteer Automotive, expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating, "Expanding our India Technical Center represents a major step forward in Nexteer's strategy to deliver comprehensive validation capabilities across our global footprint." He added that the investment will allow the India team to enhance its expertise by integrating new physical validation capabilities, ensuring quicker quality assessments and deeper collaboration with OEMs.
Initially opening in 2018 as a Software Center, Nexteer’s INTC has transformed into a multidisciplinary technology hub. It focuses on developing software and performing simulations as well as digital validations of advanced driveline and steering systems. This latest enhancement adds significant capabilities for testing and validating driveline systems across all stages of production and design testing.
Madhav Kulkarni, Managing Director for Nexteer in India, shared, "We are thrilled to fortify Nexteer’s presence in India with these enhanced driveline validation capabilities. This expansion not only emphasizes the importance of our engineering team in India but also rounds out Nexteer's commitment to a future of innovation, agility, and closeness to our customers worldwide."
