NEDHSA Launches New Youth Mental Health Initiative
Northeast Delta Human Services Authority (NEDHSA) is excited to unveil its NED Talk Series, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at fostering open discussions and raising awareness about critical issues impacting youth and communities in Northeast Louisiana.

The first event in this series, occur at the Monroe Civic Center’s Fort Miro Room, focuses on the essential themes of youth mental health and substance use. This inaugural NED Talk, presented in collaboration with The Jones Center of Arts and Academic Excellence, is titled 'Uncovering the Hidden Struggles of Youth Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Community Safety.'
This initiative, a segment of the NED Talk Road Tour, aims to reach various communities across East Carroll, Madison, Franklin, Ouachita, and Lincoln Parishes. NEDHSA plans to engage schools, parents, healthcare providers, law enforcement, and youth organizations in meaningful discussions regarding the challenges of substance use and health in their communities.
