Mustang Energy Corp. Advances Exploration for Uranium Projects

Mustang Energy Corp. Pushes Forward on Uranium Exploration

Mustang Energy Corp. (CSE: MEC, OTC: MECPF, FRA: 92T) recently announced its application for exploration permits for its significant Yellowstone and Dutton projects located in northern Saskatchewan. With these developments, the company showcases its dedication to advancing valuable uranium exploration initiatives within the Athabasca Basin.

Exciting Developments in Uranium Exploration

The applications submitted to the Saskatchewan Ministry is a testament to Mustang’s commitment to exploration and resource development. The company is also anticipating forthcoming permits for its Cigar Lake East and Roughrider South projects in the eastern Athabasca region, which would allow it to commence field explorations soon. If these permits are approved, Mustang looks forward to kickstarting impactful exploration activities in 2025.

Company Perspective on Your Uranium Ventures

Lynde Guillaume, Technical Advisor at Mustang Energy Corp., expressed enthusiasm regarding the permit applications. In her words, "We are excited to take this significant step forward with the permit applications for our Yellowstone and Dutton projects in the Athabasca Basin. These projects are central to our strategy of building a robust portfolio in one of the world’s premier uranium-producing regions." This sentiment reflects the company’s long-term vision to unlock the full potential of its uranium assets.

Exploration Plans for 2024-2025

Mustang has laid out an ambitious exploration plan for the upcoming years. Starting with Phase 1, scheduled from fall 2024 to spring 2025, the focus will be on extensive geophysical surveys. Techniques such as MobileMT and ZTEM will be utilized along with reinterpretations of historical data to identify viable targets. This phase aims to cover areas of the Yellowstone property that have not been assessed earlier, while similar evaluations will occur over the Dutton and Spur Projects.

Ground Truthing and Target Identification

Phase 2, anticipated from spring to fall 2025, will pivot to ground geophysics alongside target ground truthing. This phase is crucial for confirming drill targets highlighted in Phase 1’s aerial electromagnetic surveys. Programs are particularly focused on projects situated south of the Athabasca Basin, where ground geophysical work will be conducted over Ford Lake, followed by targeted drilling.

Spotlighting the Yellowstone Project

The Yellowstone Project embodies an intriguing exploration opportunity, encompassing 7 adjoining claims with an impressive area of 21,820 hectares. Located near the former Cluff Lake Mine, this project surrounds the Carswell Impact Structure, an area characterized by its geological features that potentially enhance uranium mineralization.

Exploring the Dutton Project

Meanwhile, the Dutton Project spans 9,667 hectares across three adjoining claims in the Southern Athabasca Basin. Its geological context, sitting west of the Cable Bay Shear Zone, leaves ample room for potential uranium discoveries. Experts believe that the Dutton Project still has numerous untested opportunities waiting to be uncovered.

Its flagship property, Ford Lake, spans 7,743 hectares in the eastern Athabasca Basin, while Cigar Lake East and Roughrider South cover 2,901 hectares.
