Samples displayed various geological alterations, including intense albite and potassic feldspar changes alongside hematite and epidote alterations.
The most notable findings revealed copper concentrations of 3.73% and 1.94% Cu in the northern sections of the area. Additional explorations further south indicated grades of 0.54% Cu. Anomalous values for gold, molybdenum, and cobalt were also detected, contributing to the overall intrigue surrounding these findings.

This discovery led to the staking of 104 mining claims forming a significant 50.2 km² claim block dubbed Dunphy South.
