most brokers know practically nothing about pennies, which is partly why they express such disdain-partly to hide their ignorance-
1 such idiot was telling me OTCBB- an expression brokers and everybody still use- have no financials- so I told him l had looked at thousands of OTCBB financials -in our long conversation I must have mentioned OTCQX 7 times -so he finally looked it up and told me OTCQX was a mutual fund- idiots!! otcqx may also be a mutual fund but that obviously was not the subject of our conversation--they are still living in the pre-1999 wild west of pennies-when there used to be much less required info-it has changed rapidly in the last 3-4 years and before that also
OTCQX has essentially same financial info as major exchanges but only requires a .10-.25 c min pps and does not require the onerous fees of majors
