I agree, though many caught up in fossil fuels would consider renewables to be fighting words- several countries are experimenting w tidal power,including the USA and Navy-1 of penny stock newsletters has been touting such a company, though i think the Netherlands are the leader in that.
i forget what they say about how much solar power the sahara and other deserts could provide-i think they say the sahara could support all of europe's electricity needs.
deserts are growing like wild fire -might as well use them if the rattlesnakes and skinks dont object-might even improve their hostile environment.
Japan,with 108 active volcanoes,might use geothermal also.
