GOOG was founded by mathematicians. Spencer has an undergrad in math so the paradigms in all the Gecko tech will be "general, stable, portable, extensible, and not singular or brittle."  That's mathspeak for "good stuff."  Curious-  Would they leave GOSY standalone and just pump tens of millions into GOSY?  GOOG likes to install their senior management, eg. Motorola, but Spencer has an MBA and not going to mind that, I expect.
