Because yesterday' volume of PTK.V (on the TSX.V) = 5650 & POETF (OTCQX) = 0.

Yet there was 220k in total. Even StockCharts, Ihub, Google Finance etc all showed volume of 5650, thats because they don't account for the volume that is traded on the Alpha Exchange, an alternative exchange, but part of the TMX Group, where the TSX & TSX.V is a member of. POET Technologies also trades on the Frankfurt Exchange (XETRA) so the volume of that exchange needs to be accounted for, but I think that is included on TMX site...
