Stock futures remain lower after economic data
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock futures remained lower on Wednesday after a measure of New York manufacturing showed that activity contracted in August for the first time in nine months. Separate data showed that U.S. consumer prices were unchanged in July. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (CBOTJU2) dropped 23 points to 13,110 and those on the S&P 500 index (GLC:SPU2) fell 2.80 points to 1,398.8. Nasdaq-100 futures (CME:NDU2) declined 2.50 points to 2,724.2
