Restoring classic things of beauty sounds like a great hobby for retirement.  I have a buddy that restored 2 MGB's and they look great.  Will have to consider something in this line in the future.  I would be starting, though, from a skill set of 0.  Never have been good at it but have always leaned towards creative endeavors.
