I wonder if it's just "conditioning."  IOW, some may be programmed from training or experience to just cut and run rather than hold onto the good ones.  Me, I fall in love with everything, but I'm learning my lessons of experience.  I do think that most posters are long shareholders and understand what is happening.  The scary part is that many a good company, like O-stock, was damaged (some ruined) by these criminal.
