Stock futures edge higher on Europe hopes
FRANKFURT (MarketWatch) — U.S. stock-index futures posted modest gains Monday, providing halting follow-through on a strong finish last week as investors digested a larger-than-expected rise in nonfarm payrolls and reweighed expectations that the European Central Bank will step in to buy euro-zone government bonds in time to address the region’s long-running debt crisis, strategists said.
