The rankings don't account for losses.  It is possible for stocks to lose during the contest week, but we only calculate gains from the Alerted Price.  I use the formula:

(High Price of the Week - Alerted Price)/Alerted Price x 100

Typically, we would prefer to see stocks sustain prices around their MVP gains percentage or higher.  However, reality is that stocks fluctuate up and down.  We base the MVP rankings off of the high price for that contest week.  Therefore, some of the 0% would be due to the alerted price being the high price for the week.  Sorry for any confusion.  Our MVP formula (above) is top secret, lol!
