Out in the real world -- away from stock message fora -- it takes time to make deals. Aside from the negotiations between principals, lawyers and others have to provide their input.

My guidance to you, or anyone else, trading/investing in any ticker which is being acquired/acquiring. Expect delays and wait patiently. A PR with a substantive piece of news has had a substantial amount of work behind it.

As an investor, its better to get the deal done right, than to rush for the sake of a "fake" deadline. If something happened last week/this week/next week, the long term judgement will focus on deal structure (profitable/loss making for shareholders into the future), not the date the deal was consumated.
