U.S. stocks start week with gains: NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — U.S. stocks gained for a third session on Monday as Wall Street looked to the second-quarter earnings reporting season. At 4 p.m. Eastern, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI JIA) was up 88.78 points, or 0.6%, at 15,224.62. The S&P 500 index (SNC:SPX) climbed 8.61 points, or 0.5%, to 1,640.50. The Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQ:COMP) added 5.45 points, or 0.2%, to 3,484.83.
