Drano,  I love my MR BUDDY propane heater.  One room or more size is about $70 on Amazon.  Comes ready to use the little 1 lb bottles for $2 or $3 each.  You can also get a hose to hook it to a 25 lb tank.  Read the instructions. leave a window open a bit for safety, and have a carbon monoxide detector that works.  Should have one any how.  I think it also has a built in low oxygen detector.  I have only used it for about 45 minutes since the weather has stayed good since I bought it - figures.

Also, I have a couple little grills that use the same bottles.  When we were out of power in Puget Sound area a few years ago, I cooked all sorts of stuff on the grill in stainless steel cake trays: coffee, french toast, scrambled eggs, soup etc. in addition to all the usual grill foods.

I'm with you on led lights.  I found that that the most useful were the LED headlamps.  Got a 3 pack at Costco for about 10 bucks.
