There is one thing I am fairly certain about. Shorts are not accumulating to cover. They are way too deep for that. They may accumulate to take the last down sharply to really shake the trees but if you do not sell you do not lose. If they take the last down sharply it will not be cheaper to buy so if that is what you are waiting for good luck. If you are waiting to sell just don't give them shares to use to take the price down. Wait till it goes up and sell.
