Good stuff Bro!  You are going to love Dick Dale!  I saw him 10 years ago approximately and WOW!  You will have visions of the movie Pulp Fiction going through your head as you listen.  To get right down to the roots of Rock-N-Roll you have to even go all the way back to the stride piano players like the great Scott Joplin!  You would not have guitar riffs that we enjoy today without the influence of the stride piano players.  And that is a fact! You take a combination of stride playing mixed together with Rag time, Blues, Rhythm & Blues, Country/Western and Gospel and throw it all in the blender and you get Rock-N-Roll.   Rock-N-Roll = 12 Bar Blues all Jazzed up and cranked up!
