In addition, hundreds of new dams are being built each year, adding even more reserves to an already huge base. In the tropical regions where Hollund has focused, exotic hardwoods such as Ipe, Mahogany and Teak are worth $1,500 - $3,000 per tree on a value added basis. Once operational, Hollund expects each forest machine to be able to harvest up to 100 trees per day.
