There are several fertilizer plants in Alaska that make and sell fish fertilizer, possibly for shipment back to US mainland. Pennington is one. Pennington also sells a line of lawn fertilizers that are iron-based.  Maybe they dropped off the iron fertilizer in Alaska to be added to a shipment of fish fertilizer headed back to US?  Convoluted, but who knows....
