Yes, GOSY is VERY smart to be using Linux for their GeckoImager. Imager abstracts the point cloud from the Kinects (GOSY is also smart to be going to outdoor capable depth cameras.) and cancels a lot of "noise" from that point cloud. Since this is all done 20-30 times per second, the OS MUST be very fast and unencumbered. Linux is PERFECT here!
