issues of the rate of false positives...
need but difficulty of rapid tests to detect multiple pathogens...

The group did agree that analytical method issues need to be prioritized for specific matrices, scientific challenges for those priority areas addressed, and standard method performance requirements developed that address sensitivity, specificity and speed for the detection of many pathogens in fresh produce.
