I finally realized that this investment has a much longer way to go for a good payoff than I ever thought. This epiphany became evident after the latest milestone did nothing to boost the PPS like we all had hoped and anticipated. We all know why....Because nobody knows or cares about this company or this stock right now. I do not think the general public really cares about some tiny airline looking to fly from NY to St Pete. The only people who care would be the Russian contingent in Queens, Brooklyn and whatever other pockets of Russians there are in the area that fly to or from St Pete. Does the rest of the world or country care about this one route. The answer is probably no. Should the rest of the world or financial community get excited about the potential of flying from NY to Latvia, Riga and Estonia or whatever other Baltic region areas that Baltia is planning on flying to sometime in the very, very, very distant future? I again, think not. The only hope of this really gaining support from anybody that really matters is the execution of the the Baltia business plan. That is, filling flights, adding flights, stuffing the cargo hole and being as profitable as they claim they will be. In other words revenue, revenue and more revenue! Now that, and profitable revenue, will get the attention of the financial and investment community, not some tiny little airlines announcing one or two direct flights per week to St Pete from NY. Really, is that really exciting to any of you? It's not anymore. That's why the big event was a non event.
So with this realization now planted firmly in my head, there will be some stock movement at some point. Maybe when tickets are being sold, or when the very small community of existing investors gets excited enough to keep dumping more of their money into this thing. But that again will be very short lived. The real movement on this stock will still be a ways off, in my opinion. It will be when Baltia proves their plan and their revenue projections and the investment community starts taking notice. Otherwise, I am afraid that a tiny little airline flying a few times to one destination may not be very exciting. Just my realization and opinion which is why I will stay on the sidelines and hope (really hard) that Baltia can prove me wrong and blow their stock price out of the water right from the get go. I have way to much invested in them and would like nothing more than to have that happen. But I don't think it will happen quickly anymore.
I truly respect and applaud the people who where trying to drum up their own media awareness and taking matters into their own hands. It was a great idea. But I think you have seen that it has fallen on deaf ears. Why? Because nobody cares right now about some tiny airline that has been working 23 years to fly one route. Who cares? Except that small pocket of people in NY, NJ and maybe CT. However, a company blowing out revenue projections and profitability numbers is something people care about. And the Facebook " Like " thing. I really don't want to go there. But I do respect and applaud you for your efforts. As we like to joke, I believe there are still way too many bottles of beer on the wall until we get to that BIG payday. Whatever that may be for each of us.IMO. GLTA.
