Yes, we have seen various videos of "autonomous" wheelchairs being attempted by academia, but they fail compared to GOSYs 'SafePath Enabled" chair. GeckoSystems has accomplished what those in the academic world only wish for. Of course, their focus is securing more grants and publishing, not making a viable commercial product like GOSY has done.
