Environmentalists have a bigger task, IMO. It states that The GOB is responsible for up holding and policing the laws. And  the GOB is cash strapped and needs revenue. The police will not act without the permission of the GOB, and all the environmentalists can do is shake their fingers at them.

I am a believer in protecting our natural resources, such as offshore drilling, if the proper studies were not done. But these groups step way over the line when they proceed to push the contracts null and void " because they can ". IMO a bunch of rich, snotty nosed brats. Probably most of them are not even natives to Belice. They have their money, investments, retirement pensions, etc... They live a good life. As for the poor people they could care less about.
