BTW, did you know that Thomas Ichim and Dr. Min work(ed) together at Min labs as far back as 2002? I haven't found yet how much Ichim contributed to the patent. I am assuming a significant amount however:

Discoveries:

My lab keeps its leading position in the areas of tolerant DC, DC-T regulatory interaction, and siRNA silencing DC in heart transplantation research. Our excellence of research are shown by following factors: 1) We are the first to report immune modulation by siRNA modified dendritic cells (Arthritis & Rheumatism 2002, 46 (9): S563; J Immunol 2003, 171:691); 2) We are the first to demonstrate a bi-directional interaction between tolerogenic dendritic cells and T regulatory cells (J Immunol 2003, 170:1034).
