The practice wasn't unnoticed.  Public complaints against Punch TV were out there for anyone to see who chose to look.  The complaints could have been valid or not (most likely for a court to determine) -- we wouldn't know.

It would not have been a tremendous concern of the buying entity if the liabilities were not purchased, IMO.
