There is nothing futuristic about telling people just enough to make them dependent on you for answers. It's really an old move called control. I'll bet if we study the last 100 companies that moved on from this incubator to the real world successfully we would find CEOs with a pretty rigid  style when it comes to communications with stockholders. An effective investor relations dept. takes that load off the CEO so that he/she can run the business. No one needs to talk doom and gloom but a company doesn't need unnecessary banter to slowdown the CEO.
