rdkl18, check out the depth of the reservoir in Ghana.  Don't take my word for it.  If Triton did build one or even two of these machines, they are likely doing more testing than real harvesting because of the difficulties I mentioned.  At the very least, Triton's system requires the operator to maneuver a barge directly over the tree to be harvested, and that takes time and skill.  The Triton system still requires air bags to float the timber to the surface, and then people need to reach out over the log and take these bags off.  The TigerLynk simply picks the tree up and places it in a collection float at the surface with no help required.  The TigerLynk has its vision system right at the point of contact near the head of the harvesting tool.  The Triton system has its vision system located topside on the barge.  In murky or turbulent water, it must be nearly impossible to see what this machine is doing.
