The good thing is that the new CDs, factor fund, must sell at market. This can be construed as bid or ask, however after reading the deal I do not believe that there are discounts to market. With this in mind, the retailers are selling to bring the price and hoping to force factor fund and older CD holders to come down also so they can rebuy. I do not think there is short selling per se or naked shorts who are not covering daily as this hardly ever showed up on reg sho list.
