Been utilizing option strategies on big board stocks for nearly 20 years now. My regular strategies are covered calls, vertical & calendar spread plays. These strategies are mainly for monthly income; however, covered calls protect the downside on a limited basis and help to lock in profits on some of my big boards without selling the stock outright. If I get called out, I keep the premium and sell the stock.
