Money talks and courts don't work for free

At the end of the day folks, Belize is still billions of dollars in debt with the worst sovereign credit rating in the world. They aren't going to dig themselves out of that hole selling bananas and scuba diving lessons to tourists. Their only hope for material economic growth in the near future is the petroleum industry. So, unless the courts are okay with getting paid in plantains and beans, I'm guessing that those in charge of rendering the injunction are simply negotiating their cut of the petroleum revenue.

Judges want to live in a big house and get trips to NY and Miami, too.
