alj14, the truth is, he who owns the gold, makes the rules.  This is a truism that has held true for centuries.  If your article is right, and the gold reserves in the Western Countries is indeed gone, then we are doomed.  Perhaps this is why no one wants to talk about it.  If this were part of our public discussions, the beheadings of the French Revolutions might seem like small potatoes in comparison.
