Yes, the GeckoSPIO is like a "robot mother board"

SPIO stands for Sensor/Power Input/Output board.  the SPIO communicates upstream with the higher level AI savants using TCP/IP on a 10mhz onboard LAN and the lower level, mostly embedded systems using RS485, 488, 232, etc.

Great expansion and extensibility!

too bad the technology challenged naked shorters still don't understand the substance and applications for GOSY' tech-   too bad for them when the short squeeze happens!
