Morts, it's hard not to seek an eye for an eye when these things happen.  When I heard an 8 year old boy had his life taken from him; it brought on tears.  My step mother grew up in East Boston/Winthrop.  When my father started dating her we would all visit the Madonna statue and light the candles, etc.  That was a long time ago!  I was also brought up canadian french catholic.
