Gero points to the crucial role played in this attack on the pms triggered by Goldman Sachs but intensified by the situation in Cyprus, where strong pressure from Mario Draghi was placed on the Cypriot authorities to sell a lot of gold immediately on the open market. As Gero points out, it will probably take weeks, or even months, for the spot prices of the pms to stabilize and then recover.
