Ah, but how do you wade thru all of the opinions to discover truth?  I've discovered the more humble a person is about his opinions, and willing to be wrong, usually the more credible. As far as pants on fire, that has usually been a characteristic of someone who is sure either positive or negative and is not open to any kind of discussion. Any comment made is not responded to, or, if it is, in a derogatory manner.  Pants on fire usually speaks of trying to push an agenda.
