I am a Republican too for tax reasons and I am a fiscal conservative. The issue on FNMA politically is complex. Not all republicans want to wind down FNMA, just a few because the democrats look very smart in how they made FNMA, GM and AIG a success.
I am with the dems on FNMA. FNMA will be protected and it will prosper nicely IMO.
