so the history of PD-L1 testing in order to approve prescribing an ICI is more or less in 2018 the FDA MANDATED PD-L1 testing in order to qualify for an ICI. the PD-L1 testing is the positive presence of PD-L1 being the marker that improves the chances the drug will have an impact, and the negative result in PD-L1 guarantees the ICI will not work
so if the FDA has declared that the positive PD-L1 test is MANDATED for an ICI prescription, and LL has raised the level to a MANDATED point for ICI prescription, how is it even remotely possible that any doctor would let their patient continue in a trial if the ICI is off limits for a year, to prove some pencil pushers point? would not be the first time the FDA has blocked treatment for dying people in order to stick to their "protocol" of "rules"..
i would yank them out of the trial that very day. and buy stock.
