CytoDyn has to be cognizant of avoiding poor optics, particularly considering that the company is trying to establish a renewed relationship with the FDA. Additionally, there MAY be some deep-pocketed potential partners reluctant to jump in yet, due to sins of the past, and are making sure that the company is acting on "its" best behavior.???

Perhaps Jay's salary/benefit package has been partially increased so that he doesn't depend on income from Quest??
