Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we honor the lives lost, support the families affected, and recommit ourselves to ending the opioid crisis. We are grateful to the organizations and advocates working every day to expand safer, non-addictive pain management options. Policies like the NOPAIN Act, the Alternatives to PAIN Act, and the NOPAIN for Veterans Act are critical to ensuring patients have access to effective alternatives to opioids. By advancing these solutions, we can prevent dependence before it starts and build a healthier future.
