If they fund the trial out of their own pocket then it could be a charitable type contribution to the engaged institution, ergo no SEC filing. This per MLAB or UWS however he's known.
Second point is the company could %%#@#%^! tell us that they have these activities going on and leave out the person who is funding that activity. I have let my opinion be known that I think they're treating us pretty poorly with respect to communications. There is apparently a fair amount of info that may not be SEC filing worthy but that is damn interesting; conference slides and web interviews are suck ways to get the word out when transparency was a key facet of the Dr. JL administration. With Hoffman onboard everything seems to have gone quiet in direct to shareholder channels. Sux.
