There isn't a single, readily available statistic for the total number of glioblastoma surgeries performed annually; however, one can estimate that over 12,000 new glioblastoma cases are diagnosed each year in the United States, and many of these patients undergo surgery, with a study showing that 729 out of 1033 patients had a resection. Given that a significant proportion of patients are candidates for surgery, and many undergo more than one operation, the total number of surgeries is substantial.
